Rules & Guidelines

  1. Every student should wear neat and clean school uniform properly
  2. Girls should not apply nail polish and hair colour during the school session.
  3. Every student must carry his or her identity card every day.
  4. Students not availing the school transport should reach school ten minutes before the bells.
  5. Changing of class room between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently
  6. All boys must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with hair band according to their houses.
  7. Talking loudly, shouting or whistling is not allowed in the school
  8. Care must be taken of all school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls. There shall be fine if found guilty.
  9. Parents and Guardians must not visit their wards or teachers without the principal's permission
  10. The school has the right to suspend students whose conduct is harmful to the other students of the school.
  11. Lending or borrowing money or any other article is strictly prohibited.
  12. Parents and Guardians of all students should contact the teachers on the P.T.M. days to note the progress of their wards.
  13. Students using the school bus should maintain discipline.
  14. Students will not be called to answer phone calls during school hours.
  15. Student's Progress Report Card will be shown to parents every term, as per the schedule. These must be duly signed by parents after discussing their ward's progress. Observations may be made, if so desired and the report card returned within two days of it's receipt.
  16. Students must have at least 75% attendance for promotions to the next class.
  17. Half day leave is not allowed, during the school hours, however if any students taking leave should be accompanied by either parents or legal guardian the details of whom are specified in the dossier.
  18. In case of emergency any parent who wants to take the child himself, should forward the application to the Principal's office one hour before the scheduled dispersal time for junior & senior wing.
  19. The application forwarded to the Principal's office should bear the name of the student, class & section together with the bus route or private conveyance mentioned in the same.
  20. Any absence without leave being sanctioned in advance will not be permissible. After 6 days the name would be struck off the rolls
  21. VWS is an English medium school and pupil are expected to speak only in English at all times
  22. Tiffin and water bottle to be sent to school along with the students, no tiffin boxes will be accepted during school hours
  23. No birthday gifts in any form are allowed. Distributed of any gifts in the school is prohibited. Students need to wear school uniform even on their birthday
  24. For defaulters it may lead to suspension from the school.
  25. A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease must produce a doctor's certificate permitting him/her to attend the school. A student suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
    1. Mumps - Till swelling has gone, about one month.
    2. Cholera - Till the child is completely well.
    3. Jaundice - Six Weeks.
    4. Chicken Pox - Till complete falling of scabs
    5. Whooping Cough - Six Weeks.
    6. Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears.
  26. Students are Responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. The school cannot be held responsible for the books, money, clothes and articles that are lost.
  27. Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is prohibited. Any kind of damages done by the pupils to the school equipment, furniture, building etc. for which fine will be imposed by the Principal.
  28. No student shall write on the walls, desks, boards, doors or toilets etc. If found, punishment will be severe, such as restriction, dismissal or fine.
  29. When the students move along the corridors as when changing classes, going for a game or experiments to computer lab etc., they must walk in silence in a single line. The teacher in the class should be last one to leave.
  30. Students are not allowed to leave school premises without the permission of the Principal
  31. The students are not permitted to bring any electronic gadgets, calculators, mobiles, video game, crackers, Holi color etc. If found guilty, they are liable to severe punishment and the gadgets will not be returned back.
  32. The students or any particular class is not permitted to celebrate any teacher's birthday or give any gifts, or collect money for the purpose.

  34. Repeated absence without leave, the student on returning to school must have the reason of absence entered and signed by the parent or Guardian on the "Leave and Absence Record". Without this, the student will not be admitted to class.
  35. All are expected to attend school on the reopening day after vacation. Similarly, no one is allowed to leave for vacation earlier than the closing day without written permission from the Principal. Students are not allowed to bring any two or four wheelers even if they possess a valid license.
  36. All cases of doubt regarding promotion are left entirely to the discretion of the Principal. His decision shall be final.
  37. The school does not undertake to retain answer scripts for more than three months after the examinations.
  38. Hizab / covering head is not allowed in the School
  39. Double promotion is not allowed in the School.
  40. Long beard is not permitted in the School
  41. Practicing religious activities (like prayer) are not allowed in the School.
